I really like this class. 

This guest artist, jonah bokaer, came to the dance school last year who was really into combining technology and dance. His picture is at the top of my blog. He uses a motion capture device to move through space with obstacles. He then choreographs pieces using the same movement that would have happened with the props, but without them. People's bodies do the strangest things when they are resting on surfaces and muscling through space. I can't figure out how exactly this relates to this class. He created a piece at this school where about 15 people with hooded sweatshirts walk their butts diagonally across the stage to bootylicious while one person uses a disposable camera to take pictures of the dance while on stage. Usually dance is not documented in such a way. the pictures are part of the dance. it asks the question about the medium of dance. Its stupid to be so caught up in my own art, but he always comes to mind
